Often referred to as a “Perc Test”, a level 3 soil survey is performed to determine the suitability of soil for an on-site septic system and/or determine the approximate depth of rock or water tables. This study level is required by Environmental Health to permit an on-site septic system. Service includes site visit where our team will use a hand auger to bore approximately 4 holes ± 72” deep. The soil retrieved is evaluated by a soil scientist, classified to determine absorption rates, and the absorption rates determine the suitability of the soil. Our team works diligently to deliver a completed report no more than 2-3 weeks from authorization to proceed, allowing you to get answers before your due diligence period ends.

Insurance companies utilize these maps to assess which properties lie within the special flood hazard zone and require them to carry flood insurance and/or obtain special permitting prior to construction.
